Logo Guidelines

A few simple standards help keep the TPCC brand recognizable and consistent across every ministry, event, and brand touchpoint.

Our logo is one of the strongest visual identifiers of Turning Point Community Church. Consistent use builds recognition, trust, and unity across every ministry and communication. When in doubt, use the approved logo files without modification.

Logo Do's:

✅ Use only approved TPCC logo files.
✅ Maintain the original proportions and spacing.
✅ Leave adequate clear space around the logo.
✅ Use approved brand colors.
✅ Choose the logo variation that provides the best contrast with the background.
✅ Keep the logo clean, legible, and prominent.

Logo Dont's:

❌  Do not alter the TPCC logo or arrow in any way. This includes stretching, distorting, rotating, redrawing, or changing its shape or proportions. Be especially cautious when using AI tools, as they often distort logos.
❌  Do not change the logo colors or apply unapproved effects such as outlines, shadows, or gradients.
❌  Do not use low-quality logo files or place the logo on backgrounds that reduce its visibility or readability.

Main Brand Fonts

Typography is the voice of the TPCC brand. Consistent use of our approved fonts creates recognition, reinforces our personality, and helps every message feel connected to the larger TPCC story.

HEADERS AND LARGE TEXT

Bio Sans

Bio Sans is the primary brand typeface and should be used for headlines, titles, and emphasis text. Its clean, modern forms create a strong visual presence while maintaining excellent readability. Use Bio Sans to establish hierarchy and draw attention to key messaging, keeping headlines bold, concise, and impactful. Avoid using it for long-form body copy where extended reading is required.

SUB HEADLINES

Din 2014

DIN 2014 is used for captions, dates, labels, small descriptions, and other short supporting content. Its clean, technical appearance provides clear visual emphasis while maintaining excellent readability at smaller sizes. Use DIN 2014 to communicate concise information that supports the primary message, but avoid using it for long-form body copy or extended reading.

BODY COPY

Gotham

Gotham is the preferred typeface for body copy across TPCC projects. Its clean, modern design and exceptional readability make it ideal for paragraphs, longer-form content, and everyday communication across both print and digital platforms. Use Gotham whenever it is available to create a consistent and approachable reading experience.
Because Gotham is a licensed font and may not be available to every user, approved alternatives may be substituted when necessary.
Recommended backup fonts include:

When using a substitute, prioritize readability and consistency. Choose clean, sans-serif typefaces that closely match Gotham's proportions and avoid decorative or overly stylized fonts that compete with the TPCC brand.

SCRIPT

Heather Oliver

Heather Oliver is the designated script typeface for the brand and should be used as a subtle accent to add warmth and personality. Use it sparingly for one or two descriptive words, short highlights, or emphasis. Avoid using Heather Oliver for full sentences, paragraphs, or long-form content, as it reduces readability and loses its visual impact. When used intentionally, it creates a thoughtful, handcrafted touch that complements the primary typography without competing with it.

WEBSITE AND APP

Ardela Edge

Ardela Edge is a specialty brand typeface reserved for ministry logos, sub-brand identities, and select digital applications, including the TPCC website and app. To maintain consistency and protect the integrity of the brand, this font should not be used for general communications or created assets without approval.
If your project requires the use of Ardela Edge, please contact the TPCC Design Team for approval and access to the font.

Main Brand
color palette

Navy and Orange are the signature colors of the TPCC brand. Prioritize these colors to create a consistent and recognizable visual identity across all applications.

CMYK vs RGB

Color behaves differently on screens than it does in print. To ensure the TPCC brand remains consistent across every medium, use the designated Web (HEX/RGB) colors for digital applications and the Print (CMYK/Pantone) colors for printed materials. While these colors are closely matched, they have been optimized independently for their intended use.

PMS 7572 C

Color is one of the fastest ways people recognize the TPCC brand. Our signature palette creates consistency, builds familiarity, and communicates the warmth, confidence, and energy of our church.

The TPCC color palette is built around Navy and Orange, which should be the dominant colors in both print and digital applications. Secondary colors are intended to add depth and variety without competing with the primary palette, while neutral colors create space, improve readability, and provide balance. Use accent colors intentionally to draw attention to key information, calls to action, or moments of emphasis.

Brand Topographic Pattern

The topographic pattern is a signature visual that reinforces the direction, movement, and identity of the TPCC brand.

Usage

The topographic pattern is a signature visual element of the TPCC brand. It reinforces the mapping and directional language found throughout our identity system and should be used to support—not overpower—the message of a design.

For unique campaigns, ministries, or special projects, alternate topographic map patterns may be purchased and used when appropriate. Any new pattern should clearly reflect authentic topographic linework and must be reviewed and approved by the Design Team before implementation.

Color:

The Navy pattern is the primary and most commonly used version throughout the TPCC brand system.
Beige or other approved background color variations may be used when they better support the overall design or project.

Digital & Print Versions
Separate versions of the pattern are provided for digital and print applications.
  • Digital files use richer color for screen viewing.
  • Print files are intentionally more muted to ensure accurate color reproduction on press.
Always choose the version that matches your final output.

Guides:

  • The pattern should support the content, not compete with it. Keep typography and key information visually prominent.
  • The main tpcc brand pattern is seamless and repeatable, allowing it to scale to projects of any size.
  • Feel free to adjust the scale of the pattern—zooming in or out—to best fit your layout.
  • Pattern opacity may be increased or decreased to improve readability and create the desired visual impact.
  • Line weight may be adjusted when necessary to improve visibility or better suit the application.
  • Use good design judgment. Some projects call for a subtle texture, while others benefit from a bold, more prominent pattern.

Creating With the Brand

Every graphic represents our church before a conversation ever begins.

Whether you're creating a social post, sermon slide, or event graphic, your design should reflect the same excellence, clarity, and consistency that people experience every time they encounter Turning Point.

The TPCC brand is more than a collection of logos, fonts, and colors—it's a complete visual system. Every design, whether it's for a Sunday morning, ministry event, social post, or announcement, should feel like it belongs to the same church.
Great design isn't about making every graphic look different. It's about communicating clearly while strengthening the recognition and trust of the TPCC brand.

Five Questions Before You Print, Post, or Go Live

Before creating a graphic, ask yourself:

✅ What should people notice first?
✅ Is my message clear within the first few seconds?
✅ Does every design element support the message?
✅ Am I using approved brand assets instead of creating new ones or allowing AI to change it?
✅ Does this feel like it belongs alongside the rest of the TPCC brand?

If you answered "no" to any of these questions, make adjustments before publishing or ask a member of the TPCC Design Team—or another staff member—for feedback. Great design is collaborative, and a fresh set of eyes often catches what we miss.

The Logo Isn't Decoration

The TPCC logo exists to identify the organization—not decorate the page.

One well-placed logo is almost always stronger than several scattered throughout a design.

Think of the world's strongest brands. They don't repeat their logo because the design itself has become recognizable.
The same is true for TPCC.

As our visual language becomes more consistent, our logo becomes more valuable—not more frequent.

What Works:

✅  Clear visual hierarchy.
✅  Consistent type styles & approved colors.
✅  Intentional spacing.

✅  Every element has a purpose.
✅  Design communicates before it decorates.

What Doesn't Work:

A common temptation is to add more. When in doubt, keep it simple.

❌  Allowing AI to alter
a TPCC logo or brand mark.
❌  Publishing designs that fall outside established brand standards without review.

❌  More icons.
❌  More textures.
❌  More logos.
❌  More effects.
❌  More fonts.

Ironically, every additional element competes with the message instead of supporting it.
When everything demands attention...
Nothing receives attention.
