Before Jesus began his public ministry, God sent John the Baptist to prepare the way. John woke people from spiritual complacency, called them to repentance, and pointed them toward the Savior. His assignment wasn’t to draw attention to himself but to ready hearts for the “more” God was about to do through Jesus.
Preparation was not a lesser calling; it was his God-given purpose. God still uses people to prepare the way for others to encounter Jesus. Your prayers, generosity, encouragement, and faithful investment may seem small, but don’t underestimate them. What you sow today may prepare someone for what God does tomorrow.
